Another entry to defend myself, awesome. Well, no biggie, it’s better than me complaining even more of my job, right? Haha.

I’ve received some comments in my dA complaining about WG art objectifying (is that the right word?) fat women. As in, they are not people, they are just fat bodies posing in front of the camera.

Ok, let’s see, let’s forget for a minute the part where they’re fictional characters who are not real people and do not exist in real life -and when they’re not fictional, I demand the person’s agreement and opinions about how would they want to be drawn before drawing them-… I draw them in a way I (or the person who’s commission me) find it attractive.

Does that mean that I think that fat women are ONLY fat bodies? Who the hell thinks that?

My wife finds me attractive. Is she objectifying me?

If she says “Your eyes are so beautiful, I love them” does that mean that she thinks my eyes are a separate entity and that she loves THEM but not ME?

In fact, she has some kind of fixation with hands. She sometimes point out that she loves my hands, does that mean that she wants to be with me ONLY because she likes my hands?

In the same way, I find my wife’s body attractive. Does that mean that I want to be with her ONLY because I find her attractive?

Does that mean that it would only be true love if it had to be like “I find him/her hideous, but I still want to be with him/her forever”? Sexual attraction automatically means objectifying the other person?

Seriously? O_o

Well, in that case, I am being objectified by my wife, and I am so glad she does that to me.

As i’ve stated before, it saddens me a bit that some people think that I (and other artists, of course) draw WG art or write WG fiction to mock fat women.

It’s of course just a part of erotic fantasy. In one of my drawings, a fat woman is going out from a buffet after eating all the food. Of course that doesn’t happen in real life. But for some people (some guys AND some girls), if that happened in real life it would be extremely sexy.

It’s actually similar in other fetishes I am involved with. In giantess’ fiction you can see some tall jokes, that tall women may find offensive in real life if they weren’t into this fetish and they were ashamed of their height. In female muscle art, you can see some “role reversal” jokes (as in a woman carrying a man in their wedding night, for example), that if were suggested by other people in other circumstances, could be considered an offensive thought.

In the end, it comes to the intention you give to your words and images and the target audience.

For example, there’s a widely famous webmodel and webmistress who apparently says “Wow, you’ve gotten so FAT!”, to her (ss)BBW friends. As a compliment. She thinks it’s a compliment, and so do her friends. If a 3rd person heard her saying that, they may think she wants to insult them and start a fight.

It’d be the same with this kind of art. A drawing of a fat woman eating 40 cakes: light fun and sexy to some people in these circles, but also an offensive cliche to other people.

It can be quite confusing, I know. All I can say is that I don’t do this to offend.
